Dr. Morrison grew up in the suburbs of Dallas, TX and spent a great deal of time in southern Louisiana, where most of her family originates. It was late in elementary school, after nursing the family cat back to normal from being attacked by another cat, that she realized she wanted to become a veterinarian. Dr. Morrison began her path in this field by taking on a position in high school as a kennel worker for a local animal hospital and progressed up to the position of “veterinary nurse” over the next couple of years. She continued to work in this role during all school breaks through college and veterinary school.
Dr. Morrison completed her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Louisiana State University and remained in Baton Rouge to obtain her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Once Dr. Morrison graduated from veterinary school in 2013, she moved to Denver, CO to complete a 1 year, rotating, small animal internship at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital. She then transitioned to general practice in the summer of 2014. Dr. Morrison has remained in general practice since, working in a few different practices over that time. She is most passionate about preventative care, surgery, and dentistry.
Dr. Morrison resides with her husband, as well as their 3 pets. They have a cat named Remus, a cat named Nagini, and a dog named Sirius. Dr. Morrison is also expecting her first child at the end of 2023. In her free time, she loves to crochet, spend time with family and friends, see live music, hike, and when she can get around to it, stand up paddle boarding.
Dr. Morrison looks forward to meeting you and your furry family members!
